This is one of our courses this semester. It’s the course where this portfolio had to be done, and is also known as FPW (In danish: Formidling, Projekt og Webdesign). That’s also why you can find these 3 letters as a category in the blog section. On this page you will read about my latest progress on this portfolio, and see the wireframe sketches for the current design. For this course it’s important to:
My design process As the process went on and I’ve tried several options for my frontpage, it came clear to me that i wanted to have featured projects on my frontpage. Since i had a portfolio before this assignment it was important for me to save some of the content. My grid/wireframe sketch relies a lot on these featured projects, they are literary the structure of the front page. Step 2 was to keep it clean, simple and yet as elegant as possible. I’ve always had a thing for simple grid structures. As you can see there’s no flying content or vulgar pictures. This minimalism had to be continuous. So the from the front page wireframe i began to sketch the rest of the pages on my portfolio. The page we’re on now, and seen on the example to the left, is a bit different since there’s more content on this page. This means i couldn’t feature all posts, and had to move the 3 recent ones to the bottom level of my design, giving a whole new way to navigate and adding that little extra The last pages were designed to make the usability and readability comfortable. By adding a sidebar i was able to keep the word count per line around 15, and 72 characters excluded spaces. More reading about process and reflection in FPW and this blog, follow these links:
